Peculiar People

Take a second and open your Bible. You can do it on your phone's app, or go grab your Bible sitting on the end table or by your bed.

This is GOOD stuff you're about to read.

Deuteronomy 26:16-19

Okay, if you can't find it, here it is.

This day the Lord thy God hath commanded thee to do these statutes and judgments: thou shalt therefore keep and do them with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways, and to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and to hearken unto his voice:
And the Lord hath avouched thee this day to be his peculiar people, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;
And to make thee high above all nations which he hath made, in praise, and in name, and in honour; and that thou mayest be an holy people unto the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

Moses is speaking to Israel. But I think this is very appropriate and can apply to right where we are living today.

God commanded. He didn't suggest.

Do these Statutes and Judgments with all you're heart and soul.

Walk in His ways.

Keep His Statutes, Commandments and Judgments.

Hearken unto His voice.
LISTEN TO HIM.

He affirmed you to be HIS Peculiar (set apart, different) People.

KEEP His Commandments.

Wow, it has said that a few times....

AND that you may be a holy people unto the LORD your God.

Well, I just typed out the main points that stuck out to me.

And this going to be a very short blog post, but I ask that you do something.

Read those four verses a few times over. Pray over them. Ask God how you can be more obedient to Him. That is where many of us are missing it.

OBEDIENCE.

Are you one of His Peculiar People?
