Sippin' Saints... (no such thing!)

I firmly believe that any type of drinking alcohol is wrong. If you have read any of my post in the past you know that that is how I feel. I believe that it associates you with sin  and the world. I believe that you do not care how God feels if you drink alcohol. I grew up in a home where there was alcohol involved.  It did only negative things for my family. Whenever I gave my heart to the Lord in March 2006 I broke the curse of alcohol in my family. I will never be associated with any type of alcohol.  My children will never drink alcohol and think that it is okay to be around it. You may say,"won't Raylea and any of your other children make their own choices?" Yes, they sure will. The desire of my heart is that all of my children will serve the Lord wholeheartedly. I pray every single day that Raylea will have a young salvation and that she will want to be as close to the Lord as possible. I believe in prayer and I believe that God hears my prayers. Therefore, I believe that he will hear my prayer and my daughter will be saved at a young age.

So many people have excuses for drinking alcohol, wine included. It helps me sleep. It calms my stomach. It gets my mind off of things. It helps me have a better day. Those are all lies from Satan. It says in the Bible to stay far away from evil, even the appearance of evil. I believe that means the people that you hang out with. The music that you listen to. The things that you watch on TV. The unforgiveness that you harbor in your heart. The jealousy that you have towards others. The white lies that you tell on your taxes. The way that you talk behind your Pastor's back. It's all sin.

I believe that the people that you have as friends on Facebook, your friends on MySpace... is that even still around? The people that you follow on Instagram, the people that you go out to eat dinner with, and the people that you allow in your home should have nothing to do with alcohol. Go ahead, say that I'm going crazy, but I believe that Jesus would have nothing to do with the person if they were constantly having alcohol involved in their life and showed no interest in changing. I believe that you should love people but I also believe you have to separate yourself from people who do not care about living holy. The world is so quick to talk bad about Christians and say how we are too hard on on them and we Christians have very little backbone to stand up for ourselves!

It takes a real man or a real woman to stand up and serve God. You can't be a sissy and be a Christian. You probably won't make it very far either if you are a follower. Be a leader! Start a Bible study with your friends. Ask your friends if they have anything they want you to pray about. Invite people to church whether they are a stranger or a best friend.

Stop caring about your popularity and your social status and care more about God.

Also, if you struggle with drinking- just know that God LOVES you. The devil hates you. The devil wants you to die in your sin so bad. Don't listen to his lies any longer.

Give it all to God!
